Practice Tuesday and Thursday this week…and Sunday! Switching from Saturday to Sunday this weekend…Sunday on the Jefferson grass field, 10a-1p.

Please be mindful of your “tweakiness”. Put yourself in a position to recover and stay healthy – not get worse…

Another round of cuts will be issued early next week…Good luck to all the tryouts!!!

No Captain’s Office Hours this Wednesday (April 24th). We’ve moved to an “every other week” schedule, so we’ll be at Kate’s again next Wednesday (May 1).

Also, we keep updating the tryout info and tournament schedule for the year, so take a look if you are wondering about dates.

Underground’s Head Coach

Underground is happy to welcome Val Dion as head coach for the 2013 season. Val has a lot of experience in women’s club Ultimate at the highest levels, nationally and internationally. We are excited to have her guidance on our road to success this season. She has been working with the captains, already, to help plan tryouts/practices and is excited to work with the team throughout the year at practices and tournaments.

Combine Registration Open!

The Women’s Club Ultimate Combine is scheduled for April 14th, 12p-6p (that may be a change for some of you). Cost is $16.43 per person, location is Nathan Hale Stadium. You can register for the Combine at DiscNW.

If you have questions or want to tryout but can’t make the Combine, e-mail the Underground Captains at underground.captains@gmail.com.

Observer Clinic April 13-14

We need more USAU Observers! Are you or someone you know interested in becoming a USAU Observer?

There will be an observer clinic on April 13-14. The classroom session will take place at UW-Bothell on Saturday. On field training will happen at Magnuson Park in Seattle on Sunday.

UG “Office Hours”

Come meet the captains, learn about the team, and meet some of the UG returners. Office Hours are Thursdays at Kate’s Pub in Wallingford, 6:30p-8p. We’re establishing office hours to give returning and new players a chance to talk with the captains about the upcoming season. Anyone interested in UG 2013 is welcome and encouraged to come. The captains are there to answer questions, but if there are no questions, we’ll throw some songs on the juke box and hang out! Hope to see lots of women there!

UG Training

Underground hosts a weekly pre-season training session, focusing on injury prevention through strength and agility training. It is open to everyone and usually happens Tuesdays at 6p at Miller Playfield in Capital Hill. If you would like to join us, please send an email to underground.captains@gmail.com so that we can keep you up-to-date on all of our group training sessions.
